Fred’s Story

Fred Furnace, our fiery little dragon, is the heart and soul of The Quirky Hide. A curious creature with a love of leather, parchment, and a good story, Fred arrived quite by accident one rainy afternoon, or so the tale goes.

Now a full-time companion in the workshop, Fred keeps a watchful eye on our crafting process (and occasionally on the biscuit tin). He adores meeting fellow adventurers, both online and at markets, and he makes sure every parcel from The Quirky Hide is sent with a little extra magic.

  • Favourite snack: Toasted marshmallows (carefully toasted on his own flame!)
  • Loves: Shiny coins, scrolls, parchment, and leather scraps
  • Dislikes: Rain and soggy wings
  • Favourite colour: Quirky Mushroom Beige, of course!
  • Best friend: Jules, naturally 🐉
